Mohammed- good morning

B- how are you?

M-i'm good how about you?

B-i'm good, how are you liking school as we are ending the semester?

M- well the classes are getting tougher and having to start studying for final exams coming up

B-yeah that's what i have been doing as well. well i'll just jump into the questions than. what is the value of family in your country/your household?

M-Indian family's have great respect for each other. we care about each other and take care of each other when ever possible.

B- what is your family structure like? who is the head of the household, values, and so on

M-well my dad is the head of the house, as for values i grew up to never start something that i couldn't finish, we also grew up to respect our elders, and helping others and family.

B-how does your home countries culture differ from US culture?

M-well the main difference i see is that indian culture has roots as far back as centuries, but US culture is made up of cultures all over the world there is no one US culture

B-what are some highlights of your country?

M-we have beautiful countrysides, and global shipping ports in the south, we have lots of national and international sports teams

B-what is the most famous food in your country?

M-well it has to be curry, everyone knows curry as an indian food

B-what are your meals like? size, number of meals, time of day?

M-the meals are just like here, size depends on the person and time of day depends on the family

B-what is the education like in your country?

M-it's like here we have a primary school and high schools and colleges like here

B-do a lot of people get the opportunity to go to college?

M-well it's like here where you get to choose to go and any one can if the have the money to do so

B-what are three social pastimes?

M-we watch lots of sports like cricket and soccer. we have lots of trails in the countryside. and we have lots of dancing.

B-what are the different religions in your country?

M- well there in hinduism, buddism, shiks, muslim

B-what is the most prodonminate?

M-hunduism would be the most prodominat

B-what are some holidays you celebrate in india? and how do you celebrate them?

M-diwali is one the the most important festivals for hindu. we celebrate for 5 days and it has varied some through out the time. but we worship the goddess lakshmi
