there were many empires that ruled india through out the early years. but in the 1800's the british east india trading company ruled india. they took control trough trade and politics. with the british ruling india india made many advancemens in military, economy, and politics. england changed the way the military dressed and fought. the economy boomed with the trade of their spices and textile mills. the east india trading company came in to power in the political circle. the tension between the indians and britains finally snapped in 1857. this was when the indian rebellion of 1857 started. this led to reform in politics, it gave indians a bigger role in politics. after WW1 was the start of indian independence from britain.
india is located in the southern part of asia. it is the 7th biggest land country. it was once bigger but it was separated into india and eastern and western pakistan. eastern and western pakistan becam pakistan and bangladesh.
